Holding the intelligentsia accountable huh? If thereโ€™s a way to do it without harming the marketplace of idea, itโ€™s worth giving it some thought

The "marketplace of ideas" has to be able to take feedback.

Politicians implement the ideas and must be held accountable, with extreme prejudice.

Similarly, guys who sell(or market) the ideas, as well those who come up with them, must be held accountable at least by their pears.

Preferably in public.

So we do not learn after a fundamentally flawed idea is proposed and implemented, BUT BEFORE!

Otherwise, only other option is return to monkey.

Oh, I see my typo.

No way to edit, thou...

...So, I propose new requirement on intelligentsia:

1. every member must have an unspoiled pear, at all times (same as hitchhikers must have towels)

2. everyday, before bed, their pear will judge them

3. after submitting academic paper, other will judge them publicly, physically using their pears, allowed actions include:

- throwing

- squashing

- baking

4. pears may be used in pie

5. tax free pear exemptions and regulated pear economy will be implemented, based on market demands

We can defeat intelligencia by encouraging an environment of open and free discussion. I think it's important to be able to call out and idiot and explain why. This is why the intelligencia censors us and hides comment sections.

I'm also open to trying Vee's idea of mutually assured destruction. We pull the same tactics on each other until both sides are sick of the bullshit.

Without speech, the only voice left for individuals ends in violence. History illustrates this to us very clearly.

Thomas Sowell should be required reading for high school and college students. However, hell will probably have to freeze over before that ever happens. ๐Ÿ˜‘
